''Make Fashion Circular'': Burberry, Nike and Gap join forces to tackle textile waste

It comes in the same week as Procter & Gamble launched a new campaignto extend the life of clothes, dubbed ''Long Live Fashion Formula''. It argues that colder and faster washing cycles could help quadrulple the life of clothes and cut European carbon emissions by over three million tonnes a year. Major new global initiative draws some of the biggest clothing brands together to promote vision of a zero waste fashion industry

Some of the world''s most cutting edge fashion brands, including high profile names such as Nike, Burberry, and Stella McCartney, have joined forces to tackle textile waste in an attempt to "radically redesign" one of the world''s most polluting industries.

The Make Fashion Circular initiative, led by the Ellen McArthur Foundation, will bring together fashion giants in the hope of accelerating the development of more resource-efficient business models.
